Improving the LG Optimus

The newly released LG Optimus is a pretty decent mid market Android phone that is the perfect way for consumers to gain a foothold in the Android market. However the basic specs of the LG Optimus aren’t much to write home about: a 3 mega pixel camera, mp3 and video playback, Android 1.6 etc… However a mobile phone is what you make of it and with the LG Optimus you can really transform the basic model into a functional and multi-use mobile. How? Through apps. You can pick up cheap mobile phone deals online through comparison websites.

While the Android Market may not be as extensive as its Apple counterpart it still has thousands upon thousands of apps readily available for download that can turn your phone from an average mid market mobile into a powerful Smartphone. Take the Wordpress app for instance. If you have a blog but are constantly on the go and find time hard to come by, then this app means that you will be able to update and edit your blog through your phone, anywhere. Then there is Shazam. We have all been in the scenario when we hear a song on the radio but the announcer doesn’t reveal the name or artist; with Shazam you can simply record a couple of seconds of the song and the app will search through an extensive database to find the name, artist and even album that the song is from. Find the cheapest LG Optimus contracts by comparing them at comparison websites.

With Android and the LG Optimus, you can also access all of Google’s service – Maps, email, Google Talk etc… So with the LG Optimus you do not simply have an average mobile with a decent camera and mp3 playing capabilities, you have a powerful Smartphone that, with a few simple downloads and tweaks, can turn into a high spec, efficient and useful mobile phone.
