Whenever we are searching for a file or document we’ve saved in our computers usually our first option is to look for it using the built-in search tools that came with our respective OS. However to our dismay, there are times that the search engines such as Windows Explorer fail to deliver the results we are expecting. If you have been experiencing this a lot, then it is time for you to switch to a new alternative known as the file search software.
Following the same principles as our ordinary built-in search tools, this software displays information in the same manner we are used to. The main difference lies in the extended search power it offers as well as easy options that would help us speed up the search process. To begin a search, simply input a keyword that would serve as basis for results. If you don’t have any keywords in minds, another option is to look for files falling under a specific date. For example, if you can’t remember under what file name you saved the document you created yesterday, simply input the date on your search and the software would automatically release a list of all files you’ve accessed or used for that date. It’s that easy.
In this software, several actions could also be performed with the results such as copy, delete, rename, and more. You can also customize the search process by prohibiting access to certain folders or saving a preset template for a faster search in the future. The software comes as a single unit or most of the time bundled with cataloguing software for an even faster search.
